What started out as a quick visit to one of Cape Town's largest animal shelters, Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre, ended up in a full blown day festival. Uitsig Animal Centre has been notified to vacate their current premises in just 3 months which provides a secure home for 500 of our furry friends. In spirit of helping them, SA Music Scene decided to host a one day music festival in which we will create awareness and hope to raise enough funds to save this wonderful shelter.
Come join us 18 May at Hillcrest Quarry for a day devoted to these animals. We have an incredible line-up for you to soothe your musical taste buds. Please note that full bar facilities will be available and a small range of food vendors will be selling food. Please make sure you buy your tickets online to avoid disappointment, but if there's left, we will sell tickets at the venue!
All proceeds made from this event will be donated to the shelter in hopes to build a new one where all animals will receive a warm spot to sleep, be looked after and fed properly.
