In the wake of their catalytical music video release for Parkiebank, herfs 2017, FOKOFPOLISIEKAR is back with something very special. The band is proud to premiere the music video for Komma, only the third ballad that Fokofpolisiekar has ever written.
Komma is a departure from the band’s usual sound. For the first time the sound is completely stripped down to just a piano and Francois van Coke’s voice.
This song is often singled out as a favourite on Fokofpolisiekar’s latest album, Selfmedikasie, but it’s not common knowledge that it came close to never being written. The band, at first, only intended to produce 10 songs for the album, but during the recording period Johnny de Ridder sat down behind the piano and Komma was born.

Fokofpolisiekar wil be performing (for FREE!) at De Waal Park in Cape Town, as part the Concerts in the Park series, this coming Sunday . Next up in March is a performance at Woordfees in Stellenbosch on March 5th, then the International Tattoo Convention and Lush Festival. The band will also see Europe in August 2018!
