It seems unheard of for a band to have a 5 year run with a single album, never mind maintaining as much momentum as the guys from Kongos. Non the less they have toured the world with One Republic and made themselves a staple at every major festival in the states.
But the era of Lunatic has passed and their new album finally has a release date! Egomaniac will be hitting us in June 2016 and their first single already foreshadows that this will be a winner.
"Take it from Me" is the first release form the album and features a much grittier and "balzy" sound. The stay true with the sound that made them famous but their folky roots seem much less prevalent. Keeping with the times they also add subtle hints of electronic elements to keep listeners interested.
