FIRST UP THE CREEK LINE UP ANNOUNCEMENTS

Think cool river...think colour and cocktails…think summer….think fun! Round up your mates and gather round. The trumpeter`s cheeks are bulging – tooteretootoot! Throw in an anticipating drumroll; hear hear!…..ladies and gentleman, we are jolly happy to announce the first 16 bands signed to play atUp The Creek Music Festival 2016!

They are:

Albert Frost & Robin Auld, The Ballistics, The Vanilla, Stoker, Grassy Spark, Nomadic Orchestra, Al Bairre, Georgetown, Southern Wild, Shortstraw, Crimson House Blues, Hatchetman, The Black Cat Bones, Bark, December Streets and the Jonathan Peyper Trio.

We had a blast in 2015 and cannot wait to bring you more of the same music-with a-river-runs-through-it magic in 2016. We took all of your feedback into consideration and have decided to go back to our 2014 event size and will therefore only be selling 2 700 full weekend tickets.

We also asked some of our festival goers why they keep coming back every year. Here is what they had to say:

“From the first song Up the Creek gets under your skin and nothing can keep you from coming back for more! ~ Nicola Wooding from Wellington.

Jackie Barham from Knysna has been going to Up the Creek since 2008: “By far in my opinion the best festival in the country. I love seeing SA Musicians giving it their all and I love the intimacy of Up the Creek.”

Gail Robinson from Cape Town says that she has been to every Up the Creek for the past 25 years: “I keep coming back for the music – am a big SA Music fan – and of course, the beautiful venue.”

Full weekend tickets: R900 (excl. booking fees)
