DOs AND DON'Ts FOR STRAB10

With only a few days to go until we hit the beach of Ponta Molongane for STRAB10 here are a few do’s and dont’s for all you STRAB virgins:

DO make sure you check out the border transfer arrangements and timetable for those who do not have the luxury of a 4x4.

DO take a walk to the village and indulge in some prawn cakes and prego rolls.DON’T forget to pack some snorkelling gear. The beach has amazing reefs that you can explore.

DON’T leave Mozambique without bringing home enough reserves of Tipo Tinto to last you at least until FORR in August.

DON’T miss any of the musical acts! The line-up is one of the best I’ve seen! Plus you get to relax on the deck with a breathtaking ocean view while sipping R&Rs so you have no excuse.

DO bring enough sunscreen! This might seem obvious, until you see some of the passed out sunburnt bodies on the beach.

DON’T think it’s like OppiKoppi where you can blast music no one like from your car all hours of the morning or indulge in inter-camp chants of “STRAB STRAB STRAB”. DJ Dirtroad supplies plenty of music.

DO however dance until the sun comes up at the top bar!

DO head over to the merch table. Many of the artists don’t have albums at major music stores or online so it’s well worth discovering some awesome new tunes here!

DO have the time of your life! What happens in Mozambique stays in Mozambique so forget that you have to return to your 9-5 on Monday and let go of all inhibitions!
