DIE ANTWOORD: NEW MUSIC VIDEO, MARILYN MANSON CAMEO AND STAR STUDDED FILM

I have always been a massive fan of all the antics Die Antwoord cook up and this week they have cemented their international star status with a string of newsworthy events.

THEIR FRIEND MARILYN

Earlier this week a video surfaced where Ninja made a guest appearance at a Marilyn Manson show. As if that was not enough, hearthrob Johnny Depp also graced the stage for some guitar action. Not that that Ninja's performance was spectacularly noteworthy. It mostly consists of a bunch of stage dives and scream here and there. None the less, not everyone can add this to their resume so big up to him!

UGLY BOY MUSIC VIDEO

In it's first 12 hours the video has reached more than 700 000 views which is no small feat. It's no Fatty Boom Boom or I Fink You Freaky but it features a hand full of a-listers who can not be ignored. Supermodel Cara Delevingne, Jack Black, Marilyn Manson, Flea and Deta von Tese all appear in the remarkably "safe" video for a song that is a sup par to Die Antwoord standards. Only 4 barely audible swear words on no shock value. Have they lost their touch? Or are they slowly drifting into the mainstream...

FILM STARS IN THE MAKING

The latest piece of Die Antwoord news is District 9 director , Neill Blomkamp's latest film: Chappie. The story of a the world's first robot with the ability to think and feel like a human also stars Hugh Jackman, Slumdog Milionarre actor Dev Patel and of course our favorite prawn, Sharlto Copley. Ninja and Yolandi have prominant roles in this heart warming sci-fi adventure and certainly fly the SA flag high on this one!
