When it comes to guitarists in South Africa, Jedd Kossew certainly top of many people's radar. He quickly made name for himself when he joined the Vanfokkingtasties clan and he does not seem to be slowing down any time soon. People have been rooting for him to be part of Blood Brothers since the start and he has finally been added to the stellar 2018 line-up. We caught up with him ahead of the show in September!
Q: The Blood Brothers line-up has seen some amazing changes year on year. Is there any inclusion this year (apart from yourself) that you are particularly amped to have part of the project?
A:I’m really amped to jam with Laudo from aKing; he is an amazing musician and good friend and of course my old band member, Jason Ooth Oosthuizen.
Q: You have been a part of some of the best bands in the country, playing along big names and legends. If you could choose 4 other musicians, locally or internationally to make up your own supergroup, who would it be?
A: Andrew Davenport, Josh Homme, Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl on drums.
Q: As a South African musician you are on top of the game. Multiple successful bands with award winning albums, sold out tours locally and internationally and a cult following. What would be next on your track to musical domination?
A:A guitar tech.
Q: Although you have reached great success, your journey has probably not always been smooth sailing. What lessons have you learned the hard way in the music business?
A: I never thought this journey was gonna be easy so never had any really tough lessons. I've enjoyed the journey :).
Q:And what has been the most rewarding part of it all?
A: Just making really good friends and getting to do this for a living.
